I am one of those girls who plans ahead for most things, especially my outfits! When it comes to days/evenings/nights out I have to plan a few days ahead (at least) and when it comes to special occasions I, like many, look for the perfect outfit.
I'm a lover of shopping, and have recently bought two new items - one of which I am going to wear on my birthday at the start of July (extreme planning ahead). However, it may come as no surprise to you that I cannot decide which. So I have decided to write a post in hope of inspiration towards one or the other.
The two new items I have recently bought are a lime bodycon mini dress and a light blue bodycon mini skirt. The funny thing is, I know the shoes and bag that I want to wear... I just have no clue on the main part of the outfit itself!
I decided to find similar items on Stylefruits.com and create a mock up of what each outfit would look like. I have used a necklace, a bag and a pair of shoes in these images that are very similar to the ones I already own, and have matched it with similar items that I bought. So I thought I would share.
The first is the lime green dress. Mine is a basic bodycon dress; it is not strapless but it is sleeveless so this gives a good idea of how it would look when it comes together:
The other is the light blue bodycon skirt. I already own a black swing cami top, therefore I would wear this along with my black shoes and clutch - similarly to what is shown in the image (I would probably tuck the cami in):
I love these outfits as they both come together with the shoes and bag to add a splash of colour. I think either would be suitable for my birthday. I love thinking about fashion which is probably why I have thought about this so much as I'm already looking forward to it!
